Day 314: Health Food Store

image

Sorry this blog is so late for today! I unexpectedly got called in for work.

While visiting my brother, we went to a health food co-op store. The deli had many pretty things behind glass. I particularly liked the zucchini bread muffins.

I have tons of cushaw that need to be cooked up. Cushaw bread with chocolate chips and cinnamon-y spices? I think it is worth a try.

I also bought some lavender dry soda. Lightly sweetened, but otherwise tasted similar to a seltzer water with a yummy lavender flavor.

I decided to do this with them: Make mint and lavender mojitos. Using half simple syrup and half lavender soda, rum and fresh mint.
What do you think? I cannot wait to try it!!

Day 310: Cap Coasters

I think I have collected enough beer bottle caps to be choosey with mg designs. I haven’t whipped out the hot glue gun yet but I kinda like the almost rainbow pattern and the very angry orchard coaster.

I set a mug and glass on top to see if I liked how it sat and it seemed more sturdy than I imagined.

I have a newish pinboard where I have started collecting cork, bottle cap and other drinker-junk crafty pins. Crafts for Drinkers.
Some of these crafts are just dreams, but some are definitely doable.

Any comments on my cap arrangement?
Like my colors? (Note the Ale8one cap. Go, KY!)

Day Thirty-Nine: Cloudy Day

Found a dash of sunshine today

As I merged onto the Interstate I saw this semi cruising by. To most people this semi is just another brightly painted brig, but this immediately reminded me of my brother.

During his early college years my brother would use the residual from his student loans to buy food and squirrel in his dorm room. Among his groceries was always this Mt. Dew off brand soda.

I had to speed up to catch up with this semi truck and (not recommended for safety reasons) I whipped out my phone and snapped this picture.

For my brother.
