Day Seventy-Eight: Canoeing Fashion

role model

The past couple of weeks I have been working towards my American Canoe Association (ACA) instructor certification. This past week we have been working on white water and I expect that I will fall in the water daily. So I have been wearing the most hideous water clothes that I can find.

The only part of this outfit I did not wear on water were the green Crocs. I wore some water Keens to ensure my footwear stayed on. Just for those who are slow of study, I am wearing at least three different patterns on my body. Four if you count the checkered bathing suit top I’m wearing underneath my striped tank top.

This color and pattern clash is similar to the way Kit dressed when I first met him and it amuses him to no end that I am dressing the same way that I loath.

Day Fifty-One: Witchy Woman

Not squashed under a house, thankfully

As a very belated 21st birthday present, my friend gave me some striped knee high socks. They rock my feet.
I hadn’t seen my friend in ages and we had a blast drinking tea Tuesday evening after my long day on the river (class let out early, that’s another story).

Today I’m wearing them with my puff-flower flats :)
These socks have improved my mood at least 30 points.

I’m hoping not to get squashed by a house anytime soon, but if there is a storm about I will make sure to watch overhead.

Day Forty-Three: Fashion

What's red, white, black and green all over?

I have really given up on it all.
I went to school today in those socks and shoes, olive green insulated bib overalls, bright red college hoodie, a hand-knitted, fuzzy, bright blue “skinned a muppet” hat, and bright pink backpack.

The glorious part of all that? I didn’t care. Sure, I knew that the fashion forward students would be horrified and the freshmen would declare they would never be caught dead.

I really didn’t care. I’m not caring about more stuff lately.
I can’t decide if it is senoritis or something else.

Editorial note: I realize that Crocs are the most square looking shoe on the planet. I feel like I’m wearing a guilty pleasure on my sleeve. They are SO comfortable.
