Our stockings (from xmas 2012) are typically a random grouping of things that people can either eat or play with. My brother is sporting one weird stocking present. A froggie showercap.
I have a bright yellow duck showercap that I want to wear to some function…perhaps a Halloween party.

I recommend wandering through the Dollar Tree. Stocking stuff gifts are very cheap.
