Day Sixty-Three: Road Trip Excitment

signs were the only interesting thing

You can’t have spring break without going somewhere. Even if it is as mundane as visiting the city park, you have to tell folks you did something over spring break.

I drove to visit my brother and sister-in-law in Illinois. It was a long long long and did I mention looooonnnng boring drive down the parkway to get there. Sadly, there is nothing to look at because most of the landscape looks the same.

I did, however, pass by the exit for my fiance’s hometown.
Princeton metro *snicker* and home of the Cougars *outright laughter*

It made me happy to see it and lots of other silly towns, counties and creek names. I passed through one county and got part of a song stuck in my head for a few miles.

Yay for roadtrips and a riding in a reliable vehicle for the duration!

Day Sixty-Two: A 2 Dog Night

warm toes in those PJs

With the pouring rain and the cold temperatures tonight I decided on the full body footed PJs.
These are my Christmas pajamas that I got from Kit last December. I got to wear them Christmas morning and they were wicked cool/warm. If you can’t tell, they have Eeyore on them. I gave him PJs for xmas too, but his were slightly less dorky. His are green checkered flannel pants.

I wish my snuggle bunny was at home. Then I wouldn’t have to wear my super warm PJs.
These pajamas are especially cool (besides design) because they have Eeyore on them. Definitely the coolest character on the Winnie the Pooh show/books/other media-crap. We have a burro that was rescued and the name he came home with was Eeyore. He never loses his tail, but he loves for his ear and forehead to be scratched. What a softie!

Snuggling into my covers now, goodnight!

Day Sixty-one: Six Eyes

purple, black and hazel eyes

Just got my new glasses in the mail. I got two pair of prescription glasses for under $30.00
Yes, I do win and you can win at life too if you get your script from you doctor and go here to get your goggles.

This is my favorite pair of the two, the frames are black and deep purple. Just enough color to keep them from being totally conservative. The other pair is similar to the last pair I had. They’re red half frames.

It’s been so long since I’ve had a pair of glasses that are my accurate prescription that it feels weird wearing them. I like it though. I need to have a backup pair for when my eyes are burning and hate me.

Also, that frumpy blue shirt I’m wearing in the picture is greatly important to me. It’s the shirt that my father wore for a long time and got in Haiti, where I was born.
There are bits of fringe and embroidered Haitians dancing under a palm tree.

I love, love, love this shirt. However, I think it is still too cold to wear it.

New and Improved! Organized Posts!

Hello readers,

I have been working to make the 365 blog posts more accessible, especially to readers who may just be catching up with my posts or readers who have been with me from the beginning and want to look up that fabulous picture of the half destroyed bus shelter without having to keep scrolling to the bottom of each page and hitting “previous entries.”

On the left column under “pages” I have them organized in fifty posts per page, once I get several of these pages I will likely nest them all within one page.

Also, having completed this task and updated to day sixty on the catchall pages I have noticed that there my calf post wasn’t categorized correctly and has since been fixed.

I will probably not update these pages every single time I post a new blog, but I will try to keep them as up to date as possible as time allows. If this new way of categorizing my growing blog collection doesn’t help others then it will surely help me!

I’m considering organizing my wedding blogs as well in case anyone chooses to follow my progression of planning and nervousness as September grows closer.

Day Sixty: Internships

possible summer home

Casa de Kat will morph a little bit this summer depending on the internship that I choose in the next week or so. I applied to four different agencies and have been juggling emails and phone calls for the past week.

I feel like every time I start a paragraph or clear my throat for a comment I am creating the most sell-worthy phrase to describe myself. At least it is a mutual whoring feeling. They are selling their program and agency to me just as hard.

Above is one picture from a set exhibiting the trailer I would have all to myself for one internship. It has an extra bedroom for anyone who would like to visit me. I had a fairly promising phone interview with this agency this morning.

I have another interview this afternoon. After I’m done finding out all the information I possibly can then I will get to the hard part of deciding which one will work for me.

Thankfully, the program requirements (to make it count for college credit) are helping me narrow down my choices. Then I have to consider things like benefits, both tangible and intangible, pay and other factors.

I’m talking to friends and family, making lists, comparing, googling mapping, researching and praying in hopes that I will make the best decision for my professional development.

Glad I’m dealing with all this complicated stuff during Spring Break.
